SOUTH AUSTRALIA – KINGSCOTE – KANGAROO ISLAND - RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED

Mariners are advised that ocean monitoring equipment will be deployed from April 2024 in Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. The equipment will be deployed for a duration of 36 months.

The equipment is attached to a buoy pontoon 1.5 m long by 1.2 m wide, with a yellow 1.2 m vertical pole fitted with a light. Fl Y (3) 30s 1.5nm

Research equipment is mounted to the underside of the buoy and on the sea floor.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
