Speed limits in the Barker Inlet and North Arm of the Port Adelaide River have changed.

This speed change has been implemented in response to reported near misses between larger boats and unpowered vessels and damage from boat wash, as well as risks to local marine life.
Speed limits are in place where high-speed boats may be a hazard to other water users or marine life. However please remember speed limits are the maximum speed allowed and may not suit current conditions. Every vessel should travel at a safe speed so the operator can take proper and effective action to avoid a collision and stop within a distance appropriate to the circumstances and conditions.
